The Edge Coffee Shop is open today (October 4th) sadly, this could be the last opening for some weeks. Due to illness, holidays and a lack of staff volunteers it may then regrettably be temporarily closed.

The Keelby Community Choir will continue to meet at 10am on Wednesdays and the Craft group at 1pm.

Is there anybody who could help cover some of this period serving filter coffee tea and biscuits?

UPDATE

Absolutely delighted to say that, thanks to a group of volunteers who have come forward, The Edge Coffee Shop will remain open for business on a Wednesday morning. We will be serving filter coffee, tea etc and a small selection of biscuits and cake. Thank you to all who have volunteered. We look forward to seeing everyone next week.

October 1^st Covenant and Membership Sunday, a family lunch will be held following the service, please bring a packed lunch and cakes will be provided.

October 8^th – Harvest Festival – donations to be given to the food banks. If anyone available to dress the Church please get in touch with Melanie.

We all had a lovely time watching our dear Tom Hart becoming Methodist Youth President recently, he has an exciting year ahead. Here he is with the President and Vice President of the Methodist Conference when they all visited Greenbelt Festival in August.

The Edge continues to be very well supported by many in the community. The Community Choir and the Craft Group, are among many different people enjoy our lovely facilities. 

Due to a variety of things coming together however, we find ourselves very short on volunteers to help run the coffee shop and fear we may be forced to close temporarily or cut back on the service we offer. Could you help us? If we could get more folk willing to offer support on a monthly basis, we would be in a much stronger position to carry on. We need people willing to learn how to use the coffee machine, to offer to bake, to help serve and clear away and to take the orders. You would need to be available from about 10am to help get the rooms set up.  If you could help in any way, please either reply to this post or simply drop in and chat to us any Wednesday morning. Any help ( even if only for an hour) would be very welcome.  Thank you.
