June is Food Bank Month!!

Please help to support those in need in community by keeping our local food banks stocked with provisions. We are reliably informed that the following items are most needed:

  • Cans of stewing steak, meatballs, ravioli, pasta shapes
  • Canned vegetables such as peas, carrots, sweetcorn, potatoes, dried potatoes
  • Dried milk and long-life milk
  • Tea bags and instant coffee in standard size packets and jars
  • Small jars of tomato sauce (helps children to eat their veggies!)
  • Some sweets and biscuits (a treat for the children)

Please check use by dates on all food items.  In addition to food there is need of the following essential household and personal items:

  • Washing up liquid, soap powder, toothbrushes and toothpaste, ladies’ sanitary products.
